So…..looks like the theme for my 2016 Daily Photos for January 23 and 24 is ICE, ICE, BABY!!!

“Butterflies and Icicles”

“Frozen Tears on the Weeping Maple”
This is the result of my practicing with Aperture-Priority Mode on my DSLR!

Couldn’t resist sharing the photo of my lunch at Five Guys!!! YUMMO!!!
Here are the Daily Photos for January 20 thru 22…..these three days all ended up with a “homey” feel to them! 🙂

“Boots and Coats”
My brother made me this coat rack and I have filled it, and the boot tray below it, with seasonal apparel

“Typical Morning”
No explanation necessary……

“Treasured Gift”
I had lunch with an dear old friend who was in town for a few days. She surprised me with this wonderful gift – a handmade pillow depicting “Downton Abbey” because of our shared love for the show and a copy of a book by one of my favorite authors!!! She obviously knows me so well! I am picturing myself hugging and crying over this beautiful pillow while watching each of the episodes in this final season of the show I love and will miss so much when it is done……and thinking that she is most likely doing the same many miles away!!! And, it will bring happiness to my heart!
I was out and about in downtown Albion, today…..here are some photos of downtown after this week’s snow:

I love this wall…..no idea why, exactly….just love the look of it with the trees!
It isn’t the first time I’ve photographed this wall in different seasons!

I may not be a big fan of winter, but it sure does give some great photo opportunities!!!
The Daily Photos for January 18 an 19 were both taken on my back patio and depict the fact that winter has, indeed, made an appearance!

“Picnic, Anyone?”

“Snow on the Roses”
Here are the 2016 Daily Photos taken the week of January 11-17. It wasn’t intentional, but there seems to be a wintery theme going through them!

“Cold Buffet”
(The Bird Buffet is full, but not many takers on this chilly day)

“Snow Coated Pathway”
(Taken just after a heavy snow fall rolled through town)

“Until Next Year”
(Hate to see the Christmas stuff come down)

“Man’s Best Friend Forever”
(Taken at Mount Albion Cemetery – family pet memorialized with the family)

“Her Favorite Spot”
(Megan loves to push this swivel rocker around so she can look out the window!)

“On Frozen Pond”
(Taken at Olde Dogge Inn)

“Happy Hedgehog on the Hearth”
(or, as Eliza Doolittle would say: ” ‘appy ‘edge’og on thee ‘earth”)
That’s it……hope you enjoy them!
Today’s Daily Photo for Sunday, January 10, 2016:

“Joy”
I sat in church this morning and couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with joy by the beauty of several floral arrangements that adorned the altar. I believe the flowers were left from a funeral service from earlier in the week.
Taken with my iPhone immediately following the Albion First United Methodist Church service at the Albion Christ Episcopal Church.
NOTE:Â Today will be the last individual post for this 2016 Daily Photo series. I am really enjoying doing the daily photos and will continue with the series, however, beginning tomorrow, I will save them up and post here just once a week. I will post photos from Monday – Sunday each week every Sunday. I will still post them individually on a daily basis on Instagram and Facebook.
Today’s Daily Photo – Saturday, January 9, 2016:

“Tea, Kindle, and a View”
Taken with my iPhone at Rudy’s in Medina while I was waiting for my dinner to arrive.
And, today’s Photo of the Day for Friday, January 8, 2016, just might be more of a Statement of the Day:

“Hazy Winter Day Sun”
Taken at 3:00 pm!
Today’s Daily Photo for Thursday, January 7, 2016, celebrates my love of adventures:

“2016 Adventure Planning”
Here is today’s Daily Photo for January 6, 2016:

“Keeping Christmas for the Critters”
I found this misshapen, but quite cheerfully decorated, evergreen tree on the edge of the woods along the Albion Eagle Harbor Road this afternoon. It brings some color and joy to the little critters that inhabit the mostly brown woods….and, also for us who pass by!
