A great event has been brought to my attention – one that highlights a cause that is near and dear to my heart – animal rescue! Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA) is a great organization! None of my girls came from CARA – they found me – I didn’t have to go looking for them, but I visit their web site often to look at the pets that are available for adoption. Also, before Katie found her way into my life, I did watch their web site for a possible companion for Puddles.
CARA is a no kill facility. Some animals are there for quite a while before they are adopted and their care can be costly. As with other non-profit organizations, CARA depends on the generosity of the community for their funding. One special fund maintained by CARA is the Holly Fund (click here for more info). Through the Holly Fund, money is earmarked for the care of animals with special needs that come to CARA for adoption. The photo to the left is Holly – the adorable dog that inspired the start of the Holly Fund! Holly wasn’t always this beautiful and she would have likely not made it without the intervention of people who were committed to saving her life – and, of course CARA. The event I am about to share with you will benefit the Holly Fund so that CARA can continue to help animals that find themselves in bleak situations!
The 2nd Annual CARA Dinner at Bella Bistro is a semi-formal event featuring a Champagne Reception, 5 course meal with wine pairing for every course, beautiful pearls for the door prize donated by Southern Jewelers, and live music — all at Bella Bistro on Steele Street in Sanford. If you’ve ever had a dinner at Bella (or if you’ve tried Chef Chad’s offerings at the CIS Gala), you know this will be no less than absolutely fabulous!!!!
Tickets are $85 each — yeah, I know — money is tight right now – especially right after the holidays! But, it is such a worthy cause and you really are getting a lot for your money – champagne, 5 wonderful courses from Chef Chad, wine, entertainment, the great atmosphere that Bella offers, and a chance to spend the evening with other animal lovers!
There are also sponsorships available for you or your business:
Sponsors names will be printed on the menu/program at the dinner, have special recognition at the dinner, names will be listed on the CARA website for 3 months, and will be listed in the ad in the Sanford Herald in mid-February (if received by Feb 6th).
For more info or to purchase tickets or pledge a sponsorship, leave a message at CARA – 919-774-9433 – and indicate that you are interested in tickets or sponsorship info for the Bella Dinner. They will contact you ASAP.
