Photos of the Day – February 5th

Hello, there! So, today was a little out of whack for me! Our congregation worshiped with our sister church – Holley Disciples – at their location in Clarendon, this morning, instead of our regular church in Albion. Since we share our pastor, we obviously have different worship times. Albion services are 9:30 and Disciples services are 11:15. When we made the plans to worship together for a special guest speaker they were having, I thought it might be nice to get to sleep in and not jump and run for a change. Well……of course, I don’t know why I thought I’d sleep in…..I woke up at the same time I almost always do – regardless of what day it is – 7:00 am. Then, I found myself killing time and putzing around cause I had so much extra time to spare. And, then, I still had to rush to get ready cause I putzed around too much and time got away from me and I suddenly had precious little time for a shower and getting dressed before I had to hit the road cause it was going to take me a lot longer to get there than it usually does! So…….I found that I don’t like having a later service time, after all, cause I just totally waste the extra time before the service and get out and on to the rest of the day much later than normal, so that is that! 😀

Then there was the Photo of the Day disappointment! I reminded myself at bedtime last night that today’s photo prompt was “morning sky” so that I would try to capture the sunrise – or what was left of it, depending on when I got up! So, as soon as I opened my eyes, I thought – “oh, gotta get a pretty morning sky photo!”. I went to the window and looked out to see what direction had the best scene and my bubble burst! It was a VERY gray sky – no sign of a sun or color of any kind! My first thought was – red sky in morning, sailor take warning, so what does a gray sky in morning mean? Well, by the time I got downstairs and grabbed my camera, I found out what it means…..SNOW……when I opened the patio doors to get the photo, it was snowing like the dickens!!! So…….it was NOT the best day to have the photo prompt be “morning sky”!

But……it was still a fabulous day…….our choir sang a beautiful anthem at the joint service…….it was very nice to worship with our sister congregation…….I got my photos……..I went to get some groceries……and I had Sunday dinner out with my good friend!!! And, now I’m ready to put my feet up and find something amazing on cable, Netflix, or Amazon Prime to make up for nothing on regular TV because of the stupid Super Bowl! hehehehe

Life is, indeed, most excellent!!!

Here are the Photos of the Day for February 5, 2017:

“Gray and Snow……Hhhmmm!!!”

# 36 Caught By My Lens:

“This Stick Had One Job……”

And, several others in the line of new evergreens near a country club entrance were uprooted, laying over, and some were dead…….very few were still rooted and upright! What a shame!
