March Daily Photos – Week One
Well, March sure did roar in like a LION!!! On March 1st, the wind was so wicked and it was super cold and it snowed off and on (no accumulation, but it sure looked blustery out there)! Here’s hoping that was enough to satisfy the first part of the “If March comes in like a Lion, it’ll go out like a Lamb” old wive’s tale. We’re forecast to see some high 50s and even a couple 60s this coming week! But, I’m not that naive – I know March in Western NY is like a roller coaster ride of weather events — cold, warm, rain, snow, sun, clouds, nice, nasty……but, April is coming and Spring is right around the corner!!!
So, let’s get on with the Daily Photos for the first most wonderful week of March…..reminder – March is Alphabet Month and I’ll follow the regular Daily Photos with the Lenten topics:

February Daily Photos – Part Four
Here we are at the end of February. March begins, tomorrow, and brings with it the promise of Spring and reawakening of Nature and all it has to offer. I got my first dose of the Moderna Covid 19 vaccine, this past Friday and have an appointment for dose # 2 the end of March. All that snow that dumped on us the last couple of weeks is shrinking away and some hints of grass and life are beginning to peek through. Life is good, indeed……and I got me a bad case of Spring-Fever…..and, no – I don’t want the vaccine for that – I’ll take it on with joy!!! 🙂

February Daily Photos – Part One
Welcome February…..we’ve had a bit of a taste of winter, this week, and the famous rodent saw his shadow, so looks like we’re in for a bit more. Although – I find it funny that they say “six more weeks of winter” and we all pout like it is a bad thing that he is predicting a longer winter, when it is actually almost exactly six more weeks till the first day of spring on the calendar…..hhhmmm!!!
As for today – Feb 7th – It is sunny and bright with blue skies and a moderate covering of snow on the ground…..but, cold! I’ll take it – sunshine, no matter what the temperature outside, is a welcome sight!!!

January Daily Photos – Next Few
January’s weather has been quite nice, so far…..but, as much as I hate to say it…….we really do need some snow! No or too little snow = low water tables for farmers in the Spring and bug problems through the warmer months and some sad kiddos who can’t sled and skate. So…..yes, I’d like to see it snow….just not too much all at once…..let’s hope for a few nice dumpings with plenty of time in between to warm up and melt it down. How about that for a nice winter – a comfortable mix – something for everyone! Seriously, while I am not a big fan of snow, I know it’s benefits and understand the need……also, now that I don’t have to get out and clean off a car and driveway every morning to get out to go to work, I don’t seem to mind it as much – if it snows more than I want to be out in, I just look at it out my window from my nice warm house with a hot cup of tea and say, “oh, how pretty”. LOL

December Daily Photos – THE END
WOW — this post marks the end of the Daily Photos for December AND for 2020!!! I know most people are super happy to see 2020 end. Not that they honestly think all will be better and brand new at the stroke of midnight, tonight, but it gives us all a psychological pause and chance to breathe and hope for the proverbial “light at the end of the tunnel”. Let’s all just take a moment……close our eyes……take a cleansing breath……and say “Goodbye, 2020…..you will NOT be missed…….leave quietly and never come back!!!”……and, then, say “Hello, 2021……come in…..sit down……behave yourself……and we’ll all get along just fine!!!”

I’m told this house has recently started renovations……so happy……I drive by it all the time and am sad to see it abandoned! I didn’t take the photo to highlight it’s current state – I just knew it would make a great “monochrome” photo. But, posting it ended up providing me with such wonderful news of its future!
