June 6th: “I Love….”
It’s that time of year…..strawberries are out and fresh picked daily at our area farms. I picked these up this afternoon from Panek’s…..I got two quarts – one for me and one to share with a friend! They are soooo good – jam-packed and oozing with juicy sweetness and bursting with flavor! PERFECTION!!!
When strawberries and sweet cherries are out, I buy up fresh picked batches practically daily throughout the season and eat them till I make myself sick….absolutely worth it!!! hehehe
Our Strawberry Festival is this weekend….it is always the same weekend every year and most of the time, a late freeze keeps the farms from having fresh strawberries available until about a week later! This year, the spring weather has been so incredible that the crops are producing just in time for the festival! Woo Hoo!!!
Here is the stand at Panek’s when I got there after lunch today — should really get there earlier in the day to not risk having them be sold out!
June 5, 2024 – Daily Photo Challenge
June 5th: “I Saw…”
A quick trip to Point Breeze this evening found the Oak Orchard River and Lake Ontario smooth as glass with the tiniest of ripples! I saw a few boats going in and out, a couple swans that were too far away to get a decent photo, lots of seagulls, and this fisherman!
I love Point Breeze – it is so peaceful and calming – and tonight was no exception! the perfect end to a great day. It was a gorgeous day – I got a lot done, including mowing my lawn and taking a nap – the rest was good, too!
June 4, 2024 – Daily Photo Challenge
June 4th: “I Feel…” (like summer)
My lunch!!! Tomatoes aren’t in season here, yet, but couldn’t resist the craving for a tomatoes on toast lunch! Add some fruit and cucumbers and BAM – a filling, healthy lunch! And, the best part is a gorgeous day to eat outside!
In addition to my Daily Photo Challenge, I also do the BeReal photo every day — BeReal is an app that sends a prompt once every 24 hours and you have two minutes from the time of the prompt to take a photo of whatever you are doing at that very moment. The app captures whatever is in front of you AND captures a selfie as well! Well…..today, my Daily Photo Challenge and my BeReal app collided!!! I took the photo above for the challenge, sat down to eat this delicious lunch, and just a short time later, my BeReal prompt went off — so, I took another photo of this delicious lunch when it was about 1/2 gone! Our church is on a corner lot with this super cute circle sidewalk. This morning, I changed the message sign out front and walked on this sidewalk….as I have many, many times!

I know this seems like a cop-out for today’s topic….and maybe it is a little cause I had a busy day and just snapped this to get it done before I head up to bed….but, it also has a story! I am trying to do better at drinking more water and I hold a lot of these in the process!!! LOL So, there you have it…
June 1, 2024 – Daily Photo
June 1st: “I Am…” (reading and relaxing)
Today was a gorgeous start to June…..the weather was perfect…..I did a little church work, errands, and grocery shopping, but spent the vast majority of my day soaking up the sun, reading, and relaxing!!! Can’t beat that with a stick!!!
