Lunch Review

So, this morning I attended Bible Study and printed the bulletin for this coming Sunday’s worship service at our church. Then, I drove to Lockport to put a deposit down on a new vehicle – my current lease is coming to an end and they have one I want “in transit” so needed to claim it as mine for when it gets here in about a month! While I was in Lockport, I checked out a place for lunch that a friend had recommended…..GOOD CHOICE!!!

I had my lunch at Grover’s Bar & Grill on Transit Road in East Amherst. It was originally a hunting lodge built by former President Grover Cleveland and was featured on Food Network’s “Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives”. The place is adorable — very welcoming and nicely decorated in a rustic way. The waitress was friendly and fun. I liked it! One thing to note: they are “cash only” – it wasn’t a problem for me cause I had cash on me and they do have an ATM in case I didn’t! So, all was good!

It looks empty, but there were quite a few people sitting beside and behind me….and, it was about 2:00, so a bit late for lunch.

I had the Cattleman’s burger topped with bacon and BBQ sauce and I had them add grilled onions, as well. It also comes with cheese, but I opted to have that left off because of my cheese allergy. It was sooooo good!!! AND HUGE!!! I think it is the biggest burger I’ve ever seen! I ate 1/2 and about 2 bites of the other half and a few of my onion rings and was SUPER STUFFED!!!

When I say this was HUGE….I really mean it was H-U-G-E!!!

So, if you’ve never heard of Grover’s, like me, then check it out…..so worth the drive!!! The rest of the menu looked really awesome, too. And….they are not only famous for their burgers, but also for their Cheese Burger Soup…..not something I’d be interested in, but I hear it is really very good, if you like that sort of thing!

I give this place a solid 10 out of 10 stars and a thumbs up as huge as the burger they served me!!! YUM!!!
