“Beer Bread for Choir”
At today’s Lenten Lunch, I happened to mention beer bread and some at the table said they had never heard of it. They all just happen to also be in choir with me and we were scheduled to have our weekly rehearsal this evening. So, I baked a loaf to take to choir for them to try…..it went over really well – barely anything but crumbs left! 🙂

Lenten Photo Challenge – Lent (Day 22) – Half Time:
Not sure what half time has to do with Lent and wasn’t sure how I would represent it, but this is what I came up with! 🙂
3 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 (12oz) can or bottle of beer – room temperature, NOT flat
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all together.
Fill large loaf pan to only 1/2 full.
Bake for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
Batch makes approximately one loaf.
Best if served warm from the oven.
