Mid Week Rantings – on Thursday!

I meant to post this yesterday (hump day, true mid-week day, etc.), but didn’t have a chance….so, here are some “mid-week rantings” on Thursday!!! 😉

• Where did the Dancing With The Stars season go???? It barely got started and it’s over, already! Man, that 10 weeks flew by like a bullet! But, I am happy with the results! Marie Osmond had a good run – her fans kept her in the running up until the end to show their support of her hard work and natural ability to entertain. She wasn’t as polished as the other finalists, so winning wasn’t in the cards, but I was happy to see her last as long as she did. I thought Helio and Julianne were the best ones and deserved to win! I don’t quite understand the controversy and statements saying that Mel B had the points, but Helio won based on popularity…….while that is true to a point, it isn’t really what it implies!!! There was ONE point difference between Helio and Mel B – yes, the viewers pushed Helio into the lead to get the trophy, but it was already a VERY close competition and either one could have taken the prize! Now, if there was a huge spread of technical points and Helio wasn’t doing well in his dances and STILL won because of the fan votes, then I could see it being a big controversy!!!! But not when the technical points were just one point apart…………it was any one’s prize!!!!
• I’ve been fighting a cold for several weeks now — mostly head cold with occasional chest congestion, too — there were a couple times it got me down and I had to stay home and take care of it, but for the most part, I’ve kept going and just worked to keep it from getting really bad!!! Well, it became apparent yesterday that I needed to finally give in and go to the doctor!!! It took a strong hold in my lungs and gave me some pretty severe asthma complications! But, I got the help I needed and am hopefully going to finally kick this thing! I’m working from home today to take it easy and let the medicines kick in.
• A couple months ago, I bought new living room furniture – it included a couch that is so comfortable!!!! I also believe that it is equipped with a gas mechanism that creeps up on anyone who snuggles in to watch TV — I am constantly curling up on that new couch to watch a show and just nicely get interested in it and find myself waking up well after it is over!!! I miss the endings of more shows that way! Uugghh!
• I have had to make some very important life changing decisions this week — it’s been quite a week!!! I hope I made the right decisions and everything works out for me!
