Watching Birds in the Yard

It’s a cool, lovely, quiet Sunday Morning………..or at least it WAS until the girls noticed something very disturbing in the front yard!!! As I sat at the computer in the den reading the Sanford Herald on-line, the girls were curled up on the floor beside me – they had been out playing in the yard and needed a nap! Then, Megan meandered over to the window and looked out — that’s when she saw it – something almost unbearable – she instantly stood up to the window and began to dance and snort – that peaked the interest of Katie and Amy – soon all three were pacing, dancing, whining, and taking turns looking out at the intruder that had the gall to be in their front yard – they also brought me into their ritual – they poked at me and pulled at my clothes to get me to come see what was happening – I went to the window and looked out with them – it was a bird – how dare this little creature be so bold as to prance around in their yard – and it soon even had the nerve to invite some of it’s friends to join it!!!! This made for about 30 minutes of fun for the girls — anything that holds their attention for that long is a miracle in my book! ha-ha

That’s it — they moved on to squeaking their balls and are now out in the yard ordering some squirrels to get out of their trees!!!!
