Rain, Glorious Rain…..

It has rained off and on most of the day and is raining now — it came with thunder and lightening (there’s quite a bit of distant thunder and lightening now, too), but that’s OK — everything got a nice soaking! I’m sure it’s not enough to put a dent in the extreme drought we are experiencing, but it sure helps!!!!

The positives from today (besides the obvious):

1. The landscapers seeded my lawn with winter rye grass seed on Monday – I was afraid the birds would get it all before it got wet so it could germinate! It got nice and wet today — I just hope it didn’t wash most of it away!
2. My car got washed while it was parked in the lot at work!!!! It was getting pretty dusty and dingy looking, but it was pretty shiny and clean looking (well, cleaner looking) by the time I got out of work to go home!
3. My asthma cough calmed down — it has been pretty bad when outside because of all the dry, dusty air……

I hope this keeps up for a couple of days!
